The qualified candidates will be proficient in the use of Omics data analysis tools pathway analysis tools (eg: Ingenuity), and sequence analysis tools (eg: PHRAP, BLAST, NEWBLER). Experience in handling large datasets from genomic projects is a big plus. A broad knowledge of statistics and statistical methods used in analyzing genomics and proteomics data is preferred. Experience in any of SAS, S-Plus, R.Matlab is preferred. Experience in scripting languages such as Perl and Python is preferred. Knowledge of relational databases is preferred. PhD/Mtech with a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate courses is essential. Responsibilities will focus on teaching undergraduate computer science classes, developing/supporting certification programs in computer science and technology applications, and creating and teaching online courses in the area of digital media. Experience with the use of technology in instruction and an interest in developing/teaching distance learning courses is expected. Scholarly requirements include research, professional publications and presentations.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Applicants must be committed to high-quality student education and be willing to use instructional and web-based technologies. Scholarly requirements include research, professional publications and presentations. Commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduates, post graduates and mentoring of junior faculty is essential. Experience in clinical biochemistry is preferred.

A successful applicant will hold a PhD, will show evidence of successful teaching experience in relevant molecular and cell biology courses, and use molecular/ cellular methods in their research. Primary responsibilities include teaching introductory mol/cell biology courses, genetics and advanced level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain an active research program using a cell culture, not an animal model system. Expertise in advanced technology platforms like Microarray, Proteomics will be a plus.
